so i’ve decided to start weight watchers thanks to the recommendation of some friends.
i’m looking to lose some weight and tone up [as i’m sure everybody wants to do]
i’m going to be combining exercise @ the gym, workout videos and healthier cooking.
i’ll let you guys know how it goes.
Post Workout & Healthy Lunch Creation: Open Face Tuna Sandwich
- Shredded Broccoli
- Tuna in water
- Tablespoon of light mayo
- Half-Slice of colby jack
- Olive Oil
- Mrs. Dash
Mix all ingredients and place on top of a slice of multi-grain bread and shred cheese on top (breaking up cheese helps give you the taste but cuts down on the calories) and toast in a pan sprayed with Olive Oil Pam.
I ate mine with two clementines and a small side of chips (ssh!) Enjoy!
A step in the right [fitness] direction means a trip to Trader Joes this evening.

Today was a cold one—a frigid 15 degrees Fahrenheit when I awoke at 5AM. I took one leg out of the covers and I muttered “no thanks” as I set my alarm to 6:15AM…and then again to…6:20…and finally at 6:30 I decided to scrape my lifeless body out of bed.
I got ready, hopped on the train and even decided that despite the chilling temperatures, it was too beautiful of a day to miss out on a rendezvous with the sun. Walk to work was brisk, relaxing and refreshing with the sidewalks dusted in snow.

I somehow survived the day without caffeine. I had green tea from the kitchen in the morning and grumbled to myself when 1PM rolled around and I realized the tea was decaf while grabbing another cup. All in all, a very positive day in the office so I decided to trot back down Mich Ave to get some groceries and make myself something delicious for a job well done.

Even though I didn’t make it to the exercise bike this morning, I made up for it by diet and cumulatively walking 3.5 miles today.
How was your Monday?
Sunday’s Post work-out dinner
Veggie infused turkey burger (broccoli, onions, spinach), over spinach with a side of citrus zucchini.
New job involves even more dinners and drinks out and about so I’m making it a personal goal of mine to cook at home as much as I can…

Baked garlic tilapia dusted with Low-fat grated Parmesan Cheese + Balsamic Brussel Sprout/Mushroom/Zucchini
Super easy and fast to make! Message me for the recipe!
